36 Hours in Bangkok, Thailand

After 25+ hours of travel, we finally landed in Bangkok and headed to our condo.  I am a huge fan of Airbnb and use it whenever and wherever we travel.  This trip was no different and our condo was GORGEOUS.... however it was not close to the tourist spots we planned on visiting but that was just a minor detail.  Alright, so we made it home and hit the hay.   We only had 1 full day in Bangkok but we certainly tried to make the most of it!

After an early breakfast we made our way over to Wat Pho to visit the reclining Buddha & Grand Palace.  It was a super hot day and if you've ever been to SE Asia or even the Vatican, you know that shoulders and legs must be covered up to enter any 'holy' places.  Sooo we were both soaked by lunch time.  Even so, the temples are incredible and not to be missed. The amount of detail in every inch of the temples is unlike anything I've seen before, it's truly stunning. (You'll see in the photos below.)

After sweating through our outfits we asked our tuk-tuk driver for some lunch options and he ended up taking us to a river front restaurant in Chinatown.  The view was perfect and the food was pretty good too.  Post-lunch we spent a good hour exploring the streets, and smells, of Chinatown & Khao San Road.  We grabbed an Uber to make our way back to the condo and ended up taking a nap that lasted 12 hours... whoops.

Anyways, Bangkok was fun but it was our least fave of the cities we visited.  More to come in the next couple of days/weeks.  Enjoy! Lane
